Por iniciativa del Vicariato, su pastoral de Educación y la recientemente creada pastoral de Cultura, fueron convocados los exestudiantes de la escuela agrícola “El Arvejillal” —fundada en 1961— para hacer “memoria agradecida” de su experiencia y la labor educacional de la Iglesia de Aysén en ese entonces inhóspito sector de la Patagonia aysenina.
Tras varias suspensiones previas —debido a la pandemia— se vivirá este 6 y 7 de noviembre de 2021 un esperado fin de semana de reencuentro y fraternidad en la localidad de Cochranne con la presencia de más de 70 exestudiantes de “El Arvejillal”, iniciativa eclesial que por 10 años aportó al desarrollo educacional, profesional y espiritual de jóvenes patagones de los años 60.
En el programa radial vicarial “Aysén, tu pastor te habla”, el padre Obispo Luis Infanti explicó que “hace 60 años atrás empezaba en ‘El Arvejillal, en el actual sector de la balsa en Cochranne´. La llamada escuela agrícola ‘San José de El Arvejillal’, capitaneada por el padre José Veló”.
“Esta fue —agregó el pastor de Aysén— una experiencia de escuela agrícola que duró 10 años por la que pasaron al menos un centenar de jóvenes. Después de esa experiencia como exestudiantes nuca se han juntado ¡y eso es lo que queremos hacer!”.
“Ya fueron contactados la gran mayoría de estos exestudiantes. Muchos de ellos viven en Cochranne y alrededores; en los pueblos del lago General Carrera; en Puerto Montt, Concepción; incluso en Argentina. Ellos han expresado un gran entusiasmo para reencontrarse porque ha sido una experiencia sumamente valiosa en sus vidas”.
Programa
“Todo el día sábado —dice el padre obispo— tendremos en el salón parroquial de Cochranne un encuentro para compartir testimonios, experiencias, anécdotas, chistes, cantos, poesías; todo lo que significó una vivencia tan rica, fecunda y abundante como esta escuela; incluso van a estar algunos profesores presentes”.
“El domingo tendremos la misa en el mismo Arvejillal en el lugar donde estuvo la escuela ya que se conservan varias de las construcciones de aquella época y los árboles frutales que plantaron”.
“Este será un momento —enfatiza el padre obispo— muy grato donde podremos compartir la eucaristía, un rico de asado y nada de raro que aparezca algún juego de truco o la taba.
La comunidad de Cochranne está muy entusiasta y comprometida en acompañar, apoyar y participar en este evento; el alcalde de la ciudad ha manifestado también amplio interés como municipalidad para estar presente en momento que, diría, es histórico”.
Todo este encuentro de “memoria agradecida” será registrado por el área de comunicaciones del Vicariato Apostólico de Aysén, y emitido en sus medios vicariales de Radio y Televisión Santa María y plataformas en redes sociales.
